New York University in Athens

Katerina Vagianou was the Leader/Project Architect and responsible for Supervision of Construction for the project assigned to TPA. 

In the heart of the city, in a three-story neoclassical building in Kolonaki, New York University gets its home at last. It is the NYU Research Institute in Athens.

The aim of the project was to highlight the beauty of the building and create attractive spaces with international educational standards, in order to develop the vision of New York University in Athens and meet its specific programming/operational needs. 

The design intent was the architectural, functional and aesthetical upgrade of the building, by creating pleasant and friendly spaces that promote collaboration and social interaction that meet comfort and safety conditions, while accomplishing the requirements of a large university.
